The International Association of the Scientific Study of Intellectual Disabilities IASSIDD Families Special Interest Group (SIRG) is inviting attendees of the Europe IASSIDD Congress in Athens to consider attending the following Family SIRG sponsored events during the Congress:

  • Tuesday, July 17th: Academy Workshop – Supporting Parents of Children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. (registration required)
  • Thursday, July 19th: Families SIRG Meeting 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. in the Extra Suite 1. All members and non-member are invited to attend. We will discuss collaborative opportunities and make plans for the World Congress in Glasgow. Please e-mail Rob Hock at robert@sc.edu with additional agenda items.

There is also a Facebook page as another communication channel for the Families SIRG. The link is https://www.facebook.com/groups/171939050323562/. It is a public group, so anyone can join.

The Families Special Interest Group will plan some meaningful presentations and activities for the World Congress in Glasgow August 6-9, 2019. Please keep this conference in mind for presenting your future research on family support and IDD.
